**Key Responsibilities**
- Represent Arkansas in appellate courts, including the Arkansas Supreme Court, Federal Appellate Courts and potentially the U.S. Supreme Court. Immediate opportunity to argue in the Eighth Circuit and the Arkansas Supreme Court.
- Research, draft, and present persuasive appellate briefs and oral arguments.
- Collaborate with the Solicitor General and other Assistant Solicitors General to determine strategic approaches to cases.
- Advise and consult with other Attorney General Office divisions on appellate issues, including strategic and critical litigation at the trial level.
- Stay updated on significant legal developments and provide insight to the Solicitor General and Attorney General Tim Griffin on potential implications for the U.S. and Arkansas.
- Participate in moot courts and provide feedback to colleagues preparing for oral arguments.
**Qualifications**:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- License to practice law in Arkansas or ability to obtain a license quickly.
- Proven experience in appellate litigation; clerkship experience is a plus.
- Elite writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Exceptional academic record: Attendance at a top-ranked law school and experience from a federal clerkship, national law firm, or public interest is strongly favored.

ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL – STATE AGENCY DIVISION
The Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin is seeking to hire an experienced attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the State Agencies Division.
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Arkansas and should have significant experience with the Administrative Procedures Act and Freedom of Information Act. Knowledge of legal principles and practices relevant to administrative hearings, licensing, statutory interpretation, and agency rules is preferred.
The attorney hired for this position will provide legal representation to the State of Arkansas’s agencies, boards, and commissions through their administrative processes and agency matters. Additional duties include providing director and agency attorneys education related to rule promulgation, Administrative Procedures Act, Freedom of Information Act, and employment law.

ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL – CRIMINAL DIVISION
The Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin is seeking to hire an attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division. This position offers research, writing, litigation, and oral advocacy opportunities.
Responsibilities include: preparation of responses to habeas corpus petitions in the United States District Courts and state courts; writing appellate briefs for the Arkansas appellate courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals; conducting evidentiary hearings in the federal district courts and state courts; and presenting oral arguments to the Arkansas appellate courts and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. The position involves death penalty litigation. Litigation experience and criminal law experience are preferred. Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience.
ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL – PUBLIC PROTECTION DIVISION
The Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin is seeking to hire an experienced attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Public Protection Division.
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Arkansas and should have significant motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience. Plaintiff’s class action work, antitrust, data privacy, knowledge of legal principles and practices relevant to the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, or other consumer protection statutes and regulations, and/or complex civil litigation experience are preferred. Assistant Attorneys General in the Consumer Protection Division carry a significant caseload. Successful applicants must be effective managers of their time and able to prioritize and delegate tasks.
The attorney hired for this position will provide legal representation to the State of Arkansas in matters involving deceptive business practices, data privacy, antitrust, and matters affecting the interests of consumers. Additional duties include providing consumer education to the public, working with other state agencies, drafting legislation, and engaging with businesses and industry to maintain high standards of honesty and fair business practices in the advertisement and sale of consumer goods and services.

FISCAL ASSOCIATE – FISCAL DIVISION
The Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin is seeking to hire an individual to serve as a Fiscal Associate in the Fiscal Division.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience in accounting, business or related field, or an associate degree with 2+ years of experience in accounting, business, or a related field. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.
The individual hired for this position will process and verify invoices for goods and services, as well as process TR1s in AASIS and QuickBooks. If discrepancies are discovered, they will resolve them timely. They will assist the Office of the Attorney General staff with travel arrangements, process new vendors and maintain current vendors in AASIS and QuickBooks and maintain electronic and physical files/records. They will also be responsible for receiving payments and verifying for accuracy, depositing those payments into appropriate accounts, and posting receipts. This individual will order supplies, assist the Logistics Department as needed, prepare lost warrant paperwork, and cancel warrants, enter Federal drawdowns in AASIS, and perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief Fiscal Officer and the Chief Fiscal Officer.
This position requires daily in-office presence and the ideal candidate being proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams). Ability to maintain and reconcile financial accounts, along with being proficient in using AASIS is a plus. Competency in accounting and business management software and experience with QuickBooks online accounting software is preferred. Experience in customer service, with the capacity to problem solve, and use analytical skills is ideal. Attention to detail, with the ability to deliver high quality accurate work, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is desired. The applicant should possess a strong commitment to a team environment, with the ability to contribute expertise and follow directives. Strong mathematical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and controls, with knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus. The Assistant Attorney General selected for this role will be a leader in data protection and technology investigations. SPECIAL AGENT – MEDICAID FRAUD DIVISION
The Attorney General of Arkansas Tim Griffin is seeking to hire a certified law enforcement officer to serve as a Special Agent in the in the Medicaid Fraud Division. Special Agents shall investigate allegations of Medicaid fraud and allegations of abuse and neglect in Long Term Care Facilities under the direct supervision of the Senior Assistant Attorney General, overseen by the Deputy.
Essential job functions include:
- working with outside State and Federal agencies
- maintaining working knowledge of the Medicaid Program
- compiling data into investigative reports
- planning and conducting both civil and criminal investigations related to Medicaid provider fraud, abuse, and neglect, by contacting and interviewing defendants and witnesses
- testifying as needed in court and administrative hearings
- maintaining all investigative equipment in good working order
- maintaining all law enforcement certifications including annual firearm qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- be a certified Arkansas law enforcement officer
- have a formal equivalent of a bachelor’s degree
- have a minimum of 5 years of experience in criminal investigations
- have knowledge of word processing and electronic spreadsheet applications
- be skilled in effective oral and written communication, researching and interpreting rules and regulations and applying investigative techniques and procedures to assigned cases
- be skilled in time-management, handling multiple tasks, be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
